DrPWalker Board Chairman Dr. Paul Walker
Dr. Paul Walker is Pastor Emeritus of the Mount Paran Church of God. He assumed the pastorate in 1960 with his wife Carmelita and served as pastor of the congregation of 12,000 members for 37 years. Dr. Walker was instrumental in the founding of WWEV, which began in a small room at Mount Paran in 1981.  Dr. Walker envisioned a non-profit radio ministry dedicated to the glory of God and the service of His people, bringing about the salvation of the lost, the study and teaching of the Bible, the spread of the gospel and the establishing of His Kingdom.
Dr. Walker was elected assistant general overseer of the Church of God in August 2004 and coordinated ministries for the 5 million member denomination in more than 150 countries. He previously served the church as general overseer from 1996-2000. He earned a bachelor's degree from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina; a master of divinity degree from Candler School of Theology, Emory University in Atlanta; a master of education degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta; and also a doctorate degree in counseling from Georgia State University. He is also a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, as well as a member of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies. Dr. Walker is the author of several books.

Dr. Mark Walker

Dr. Mark Walker is senior pastor of Mt. Paran North Church of God in Marietta, Georgia. He received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Georgia State University, a master's degree in counseling from Georgia State University, and his PhD in organizational leadership from Regent University. Along with serving as senior pastor, Dr. Walker serves as chairman of the National Pastors Advisory Council and on the Council of Eighteen for the Church of God.
 

 

ABurell Board Secretary/Treasurer
Dr. Arvel Burell

Dr. Arvel Burell was a part of this ministry from its earliest days and was appointed to the WWEV Board of Directors in 1983.He is a successful businessman and mega-church business administrator. His career has included 37 plus years with Gulf Oil Company and over 25 years as Business Administrator and Executive Pastor at Mount Paran Church of God. Since his retirement in 2003 Dr. Burell, is still sought by individuals and churches for insight and advice. Dr. Burell serves on the Board of Directors for the Church of God Theological Seminary in Cleveland, TN. He is on the Advisory Board of The Warehouse Ministry in Cumming, Executive Board Emeritus for SafeHouse Ministry in Atlanta, Board of Trustees Richmont Graduate University (formerly Psychological Studies Institute.) He coauthored "You Can Count On God: A Focus on Lifetime Giving."
JHCowart John H. Cowart
John is the owner of John Cowart Properties, Inc., a real estate development firm. He has been active in the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association since 1972. He serves as chair of the Greater Atlanta Developers Council and is a life member of the Board of Directors. He was formally on the executive committee for the National Association of Homebuilders and was the 1995 and 2001 convention chair of the association. He was instrumental in bringing the National Association of Homebuilders back to Atlanta in 2001 and 2002. He also serves on the Atlanta Council for the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Cowart and his wife, Judy, reside in Dunwoody. They have three sons and eight grandchildren. He attends Mount Paran Central.

 

Lynwood Maddox
Lynwood is one of the founding members of the WWEV Board of Directors. He is a renowned Attorney at Law with Maddox & Maddox, a law firm he founded and which includes his son, Lynwood, Jr. Lynwood attended Middle Georgia College, Emory University, and John Marshall Law School, and was admitted to practice law in the state of Georgia in 1954. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Lee College, was one of the hosts of the 700 Club for CBN, and served as International Director and President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International for more than 25 years. He also has served as an International Director and President of the Atlanta Chapter of the International Fellowship of Christian Businessman.
SLefevre Scott LeFevre
Scott and his wife Cindy are the founders of The Warehouse, an outreach mentorship ministry of youth and young adults in Cumming. He is an ordained minister with the Church of God and has over 20 years of experience in ministry business management and church planting working for Mount Paran Church of God. Prior to his tenure at Mount Paran, Scott played bass guitar and sang with his family, The LeFevres for seven years. Scott's father was Alphus LeFevre, part of the original LeFevre Trio. Scott is also an experienced music producer and has produced several albums in Southern Gospel and Contemporary Christian Music.  Scott and Cindy both share a passion for helping young people pursue their dreams and grow in their God-given gifts.
 
JOtwell Jim Otwell
Jim is the President of Andean Chevrolet located in Cumming. He is a member and Deacon of Cumming Baptist Church. Jim is the past chairman of the Georgia Automobile Dealers Association, past Director of the National Automobile Dealers Association, past President of the South Forsyth Rotary. He and his wife Janet have 4 sons.


 

JSharp Jim Sharp
Jim and his wife Chris are the Founders of Abba House and have been working with women struggling with life-controlling problem since 1985. They founded Abba House in Florida in 1991. The ministry was then moved to Cumming in 2000 and just opened a second ministry center in Perry, Ga. Abba House is a safe place where hurting women can find God's love, forgiveness, peace and a new life. Jim and Chris developed the Prayer Ministry Christian  group therapeutic model of ministering to hurt women. Since then hundreds of women and their families with life-controlling problems have been set free to live productive lives. Jim is also on the PrayForsyth Servant Leadership Team.
KSolomon Kevin Solomon
Senior Rabbi Kevin Solomon is a second generation Messianic Jewish Rabbi raised in a Jewish home under the guidance of his parents, Rabbi Emeritus Robert and Dotti Solomon. Beginning in January, 1990, Kevin was employed as the weekend announcer on Victory 91.5, a role he served in for many years prior to his employment at The Coca-Cola Company and AT&T. He completed his undergraduate work at Georgia Tech in Atlanta and his graduate work at Emory University. He completed his Yeshiva training with the IAMCS where he holds his Rabbinic Ordination. He has served since 1993 on the Executive Board of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America (MJAA) and other non-profit organizations. Along with his wife, Tiffany, a certified educator, Rabbi Kevin leads Congregation Beth Hallel in Roswell, established in 1977; it is one of the largest Messianic synagogues in the world. He is a long standing member of Mensa.
JDTait John D. Tait
John retired from the IBM Corporation in 1997. During his 30 year career, he specialized in management and organizational consulting. He holds a BA and MBA and has received consulting training in the US, UK and Switzerland. His career led him to work and live internationally as well as many locations within the US. He is an avid golfer, a tinkerer and can often be found on a cruise ship. John currently resides in North Forsyth County with his wife Susan.

DPritchard DeWitt Pritchard
DeWitt became a WWEV Board Member in 1985. He is Retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. He attended Chattanooga High School, Chattanooga, TN Class of 1948 and University of Chattanooga Class of 1952. He is also a Retired Naval Officer. Dewitt is a financial planner. He and his wife Rita co-own the 1902 Stock Exchange located in Adairsville, GA.
Dewitt stepped down from leadership on the Board as of March 2012.
